Visiting Someone in Robertson County Jail

It is hard to visit loved ones in jail.  Especially hard if you don’t know where to go, when to go and how to follow the rules.   Below are important pieces of information to guide you if your loved one is in the Robertson County Jail.

Jail Visiting Location/Days/Hours

Robertson County Detention Center is located at 311 5th Ave, Springfield, TN 37172.

All inmates are allowed a one hour visit per week. Visitation space is limited and ALL VISITS MUST be scheduled through the visitation office or online. Visitation hours are Monday thru Friday 9:00 am to 4:00pm and Saturdays 12:00 noon to 4:00pm.

Robertson County Jail Rules, Regulations, and Policies

The following rules apply to all visitors who wish to visit with an inmate at the Robertson County Jail:

Visitation Area Rules & Dress Code

  • No Shorts or Pajama Pants

  • No Hats to be worn

  • No sunglasses

  • No low cut blouses

  • No tank tops

Items not allowed in visitation area are

  • No weapons firearms or knives

  • No tobacco products

  • No backpacks

  • No food or drinks

  • No books or newspapers

  • Pagers and cell phones must be turned off

  • Children may accompany parents or guardians but must not cause a disruption for other visitors

  • Violations will cause visits to be terminated and violators banned.

Who Cannot Visit

Generally speaking, the following apply in knowing who cannot visit inmates at Robertson County Detention Center:

  • Those with warrants are denied visitation or if allowed to visit, will be arrested at the jail.

  • It is likely that the Robertson County Detention Facility will deny visitation to anyone with a past felony conviction regardless of probation/parole status.

  • If you are a co-defendant with the inmate in a pending case, your visit will be denied.

  • If you and the inmate are under a court order to have no contact with each other, your visit will be denied.
